The deadline to register your ideas is November 4th. The topic for 2016 is packaging reduction.
Starting on Thursday, September 1st, registrations will be open for the eighth edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), which will take place between Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 27th 2016. Until Friday 4th it will be possible to sign up for the event by registering actions concerning one or more of the following topics: Prevention and reduction, Reusing and preparation for reusing, Waste sorting, selection and recycling, Clean-Up Day.
This yeah, too, EWWR is dedicated to waste prevention: this year’s focus is on the reduction of the impact of packaging, through reduction, reusing, and a correct recycling.
Registrations for the EWWR have to be made online on the Registrations page of the website www.ewwr.eu. In order to sign up, the creation of a personal profile is required. Before filling in the registration form, you may want to check out the guide, read the FAQs, or mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
In Italy, the Waste Reduction Week is promoted by a national committee composed by CNI UNESCO as permanent guest, the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, Utilitalia, ANCI, Metropolitan City of Turin, Metropolitan City of Rome, Legambiente, AICA, E.R.I.C.A. Soc. Coop., and Eco dalle Città.
The 2016 Italy edition is part of the EU Commission’s LIFE+ programme and it is supported by the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea, by CONAI, and by the six recycling chain consortia: CIAL, COMIECO, COREPLA, COREVE, RICREA, and RILEGNO.
