Third edition of the event by Legambiente, Nuova Ecologia and Kyoto Club. Award ceremony for the Top Recycling Municipalities to be held on the 23rd.
New edition of the Waste Forum (“Forum Rifiuti”) in Rome, an event organized by Legambiente, Editoriale La Nuova Ecologia and Kyoto Club, with the partnership of the COOU (Obligatory Consortium of Exhaust Oils). The program includes meetings with experts in the sector, representatives of several enterprises, institutions, and specialized journalists.
On June 21st-22nd the Forum will present the protagonists of the Italian circular economy, promoting the meeting of the most innovative entrepreneurial initiatives and the most efficient local authorities with the representatives of national institutions.
“The parliamentary procedures for the application of the EU Circular Economy Package have started – explain the organizers of the event – Italy has passed the critical season of waste emergency, and now it can count on the expertise of numerous enterprises that are leaders at the international level”. In this context it appears necessary for the protagonists of the sector to gather once again and summarize the situation of the circular economy in Italy, so as to understand which steps still need to be done on the basis of the best practices that have already been adopted.
The Forum was opened by Legambiente general director Stefano Ciafani, who presented a long list of workshops and conferences dedicated to the most diverse themes: the EU Circular Economy Package; the role of Italy in this context; the issue of the black market in the recycling chain of tires; the novelties of the Environmental Bill; the new policies for recycling innovation.
As a coronation of the two-day Waste Forum, on June 23rd there will be the award ceremony for the Top Recycling Municipalities (“Comuni Ricicloni”), the 23rd edition of the initiative promoted by Legambiente to award the local communities, managers and citizens who achieved the best results in the management of their urban waste. The event will take place between 9:30 and 13:00; the access is free and a reservation is not required. Further information can be found on www.ricicloni.it.
